28th  June - Author's Talk - Katherine McMahon

Katherine is a best-selling historical novelist and I am sure she will tell a fascinating story which will interest all fiction and non-fiction writers among us.  Please come along and show your support. 7.30 p.m. prompt start

5th  July - Creating Hooks Workshop - Linda Spurr

Get the attention of your readers, editors and competition judges(!) by creating interest wuth your opening paragraphs. Linda will give us guidelines and exercises to improve our hooking skills.

12th  July - Stories into Pictures - Nigel Longman

Local amateur DVD video maker. Nigel Longman, will show us some of his DVD videos, and invite us to suggest stories for him to video. Bring along any short story you think may be suitable for a 15 minute video for group discussion on the night.

19th  July - Manuscript

26th  July - Hatch-It Competition  and Swanwick Re-Visited

Writers, who entered the Swanwick Competitions, will read their entries to the delight of the rest of us!

2nd  August - Author's Talk - Leigh Russell

One year on from her last visit to us, at the time of the release of her first crime book, Cut Short, Leigh will update us on her year of book marketing. She will also tell us the background to the release of her second novel, Road Closed, and sign books on the night. Leigh was a member of the Harrow Writers Circle.
