| Participate in this workshop led by excellent short story writer Trevor Spinage. Discover the brilliance of the short story writing of William Sydney Porter (O. Henry) 1862-1910 Read some of his acclaimed stories such as: ‘The Gift of the Magi’, ‘ Man about Town’ & ‘Mammon and the Archer’ and participate in the discussion of his writing – What makes it great? The wit, humour, characterisation and plot twists of O. Henry were adored by his readers, but often panned by the critics, yet, he went on to gain international recognition and is credited with defining the short story as a literary art form. |
